Trendline
In technical analysis a trendline is a line connecting peaks and troughs on price charts. A line connecting peaks shows where chart resistance is likely, while a line connecting troughs delineates chart support. The longer the trendline has been in place, tested but not broken, the more significant it becomes and the stronger the areas of support and resistance. The breaking of a trendline signals a trend reversal.
